The U.S. Navy has awarded a $28.5 million firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract to NAG Marine, LLC., for the design, production, and delivery of human-machine interfaces (HMIs) that will support a broad range of shipboard control systems.
The five-year contract, administered by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), will see the deployment of NAG Marine’s HMI systems aboard U.S. Navy ships, Military Sealift Command vessels, U.S. Army watercraft, U.S. Coast Guard cutters, and allied foreign naval platforms. These interfaces are used for propulsion auxiliary control, damage control, ballast control, and other mission-critical machinery operations.
“We are honored to continue our partnership with the U.S. Navy and support of Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division’s mission,” said Tom Barbour, president of NAG Marine. “This award reaffirms our commitment to delivering high quality maritime control solutions for the most demanding environments.”
The company’s systems are engineered to improve situational awareness and streamline real-time control of complex onboard systems, contributing to operational safety and mission readiness across multiple classes of vessels.
Work under the contract will be performed at NAG Marine’s Virginia Beach headquarters and at the facility of its strategic partner Rugged Science, Sparks, Md. The Navy has obligated $708,186 in initial funding from fiscal year 2025 operations and maintenance funds. Those funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
